It’s hard to believe that 2019 is already here! If I had to choose just one word to define 2018, it would be growth – not only were we growing an amazing baby girl for most of 2018, but we were growing Lillian June Wellness to be one of the very few businesses in Austin, TX that focuses on both fitness and nutrition for moms and moms to be.

When I was newly pregnant, I discovered how few credible resources are available to women before, during, and after pregnancy in Austin and even online. This is when I knew there was a huge gap to fill and I felt strongly that women in our community deserved better.

As I wrap up 2018, I would like to express appreciation for all of my family, friends, and clients who helped us in both our personal and professional lives throughout the year! It was a wild ride, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

What a year!

Clients: Thank you to all of my prenatal and postpartum clients for trusting me as your fitness trainer! I loved getting to know each of you on a much deeper level and to see how you continued to get stronger with each and every session! It can be challenging to dedicate time to our health as moms or while pregnant and you ladies rocked it!

Training: In May I completed a prenatal and postpartum coaching certification (CPPC) to provide the most up to date research-based information available to my clients. This fall I decided that my clients deserved more and completed a precision nutrition coaching (PN1) certification. Lillian June Wellness now offers behavior-based nutrition coaching in 4, 8 or 12-month packages (no juice cleanses or deprivation diets here). Plus, all nutrition coaching is 100% online!

Logo: I was able to work with the talented Erin Reas Creates to design the Lillian June Wellness logo. Thank you to my friends who assisted with this process!

Website: Junction Creative Studio and I soft-launched the Lillian June Wellness website at the end of August, right before Miss Lillian June Heisler was born. Watch for our official website launch in January!

Social Media: You can now find us on Instagram and we also have a closed community for moms and moms to be on Facebook. Kiera Wallner with France Photographers has been amazing at helping me capture photos for both my website and social media.

Lillian June: Lily was born on September 10, 2018, and has brought so much joy to our lives!

Postpartum: I took my own advice & worked with Sullivan Physical Therapy & learned an incredible amount about pelvic health during & after pregnancy. I’m also going through my own customized workout plan to build back strength and endurance.

Community: One of my favorite activities each summer is volunteering at The University of Texas summer engineering camps. This year I had the honor of teaching a barre class to over 70 high school seniors while in my third trimester! December was our first community event for moms at Brentwood Social House where we sipped on lattes and got to know other moms (check our Facebook community for future invites). I also attended a holiday ‘Sip & Shop’ where I sold cute tank tops and water bottles (there are still a few left if interested).

Budget-Friendly-Self-Care

Behind the Scenes: I streamlined our business system to make working with LJW a breeze and implemented ProCoach, a tool for tracking nutrition results/habits & providing daily nutrition lessons.

As 2018 and my 13th year of helping women reach their fitness goals comes to an end, I am looking forward to a successful 2019 of navigating motherhood while also safely guiding and inspiring women to love and care for their bodies before, during, and after pregnancy.
